Facebook’s new Smart Friendlists feature is undoubtedly is the way to take on the Google Pus’s circles. But one thing better than Google Plus circles is that unlike Google Plus that makes you to add friends to circles, here you have choice to use the friend lists that is if you don’t want any friend lists there’s no need of using the lists.
Facebook is adding feature rich functions to the site to stand in the competition with rivals like Google Plus which have 29 million users at the end of July, according to ComScore Inc. But the lessons it learned from the competitors have been rolling out gradually. Similar to circles Facebook’s smart friend lists group friends like work, family and friends near your place. Facebook feels that users can easily share content to some of the friends while hiding the content from the others.
On the other hand it also released its subscribe button for Facebook profiles which is just similar to the follow button in twitter. The subscribe feature can make your Facebook page apparently as a Facebook page so that others can subscribe to your public status updates.
