The Research In Motion (RIM) today unveiled two awesome 4G-enabled smartphones,Bold 9900 and 9930.Both smartphones features a stunning and elegant design that integrates an easy-to-use BlackBerry keyboard with a splendid, high resolution, capacitive touch screen. These two smartphones are built on a new, performance-driven platform powered by the BlackBerry® 7 operating system and designed to deliver the extreme in communications, multimedia and productivity for users around the world.
Actually there is only one difference between these two 4G-enabled models: the Bold 9900 supports High Speed Packet Access(HSPA)+ connectivity, while the Bold 9930 is an international device supporting Code Division Multiple Access(CDMA) Evolution-Data Optimized(EV-DO) Rev. A and HSPA+ global roaming on Global System for Mobile/Universal Mobile Telephone System (GSM/UMTS) networks.
These two smartphones are also well popularised by the name Bold Touch as the Liquid Graphics touch screen, is a new feature powered by BlackBerry OS 7, which will deliver reliably fast, smooth performance for highly responsive touch-based navigation, web browsing, pictures, video and graphics intensive games. Through the Liquid Graphics touch display, both the devices will have an impressive resolution of 287 dpi, which is second only to the iPhone 4.
The BlackBerry 9900/9930 sports a high-gloss glass-weave backplate, a sophisticated brushed stainless steel frame with a 10.5mm width, making this model the thinnest BlackBerry smartphone ever before.The traditional QWERTY keyboard and optical trackpad are still there unchanged.
The BlackBerry Bold 9900 and 9930 smartphones include built-in support for NFC (Near Field Communications), a new technology that will enable many rich and exciting experiences. Through NFC, users will be able to, for example, pair the BlackBerry Bold to an accessory or read information such as a web link from smart tags by simply tapping their BlackBerry Bold to an NFC tag (eg. Smart Poster)
Both the devices will be released with a preloaded version of ‘Documents 2 Go’ Premium, which is the top mobile office suite
